During checking on the highway, the police station recovered 100 pounds of buffalo from a DCM. The police took the DCM into custody and arrested four people. Action has been taken against those caught under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Police were checking vehicles near the toll plaza on Jhansi-Kanpur Highway when they found 100 Padwa tied in a DCM.
The police took the DCM into custody and arrested Manish Gaur of Nawabad police station area of Jhansi district, Khurshid Qureshi, resident of Mohalla Khatikan of Jalaun Kotwali area, Mohammad Lal Qureshi, resident of Orchha Gate of Jhansi, Shakir Qureshi of Orai Kotwali area. The arrested people told that they were going to sell the animals. After the police action, everyone was sent to jail.
